BAG OF TRICKS | PARTY MAKEUP ESSENTIALS

We all could do with a little back of tricks come the festive season and here is what’s in mine! These are just a few hero products I couldn’t be without. Foundations come and go but Tarte Shape Tape has been my go-to concealer for over a year now and I can’t see myself switching up anytime soon. It’s a perfect consistency that provides full, weightless coverage that doesn’t crease, smudge or budge. I set this with my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder for ultimate staying power and added brightness. This undereye combo is a match made in heaven. To keep makeup in place and looking fresh I highly recommend Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. This super fine mist will ensure your party face stays put whatever the weather! I’m rubbish when it comes to applying false lashes so I need all the help I can get. I usually double up a few different mascaras to achieve the desired effect but Urban Decay Trouble Maker does the job in two coats. It creates super long, full, jet black lashes that rival any falsie! Result! No makeup bag is complete without a touch-up powder and brush. My favourite is the bareMinerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil and this rather cute pocket-size powder brush from Real Techniques. I tend to wear a matte liquid lip such as the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink that doesn’t require touching up.
