Self-Tan Favourites

So now is the time to get bronzed up or just a little sun-kissed if you prefer. For me the darker the better! I’ve tried so many but these are the ones that have my top marks. Starting at the top Xen-Tan Mousse Intense Medium/Dark. This is a weekly application that is quick-drying,streak-free with an olive undertone ( no umpa lumpa’s  here!) This applies super easy, has a guide colour and a delicious vanilla scent. In terms of colour it’s not quite dark enough for my liking, I would say it’s light to medium, great if you are new to tanning and not sure how dark you want to go or pale skinned. What I love about Xen-Tan in particular is that it fades naturally and evenly leaving no patchy bits at all. It’s expensive though for such a tiny bottle. Next up is good old St Tropez Bronzing Mousse, this was the first “high end” tan I had ever tried. This gives a beautiful deep olive tan which I especially love on my face. It’s easy to apply, streak-free and contains aromaguard technology so no biscuit/tan smell. It’s moisturising and lasts well, but I find if you don’t exfoliate and moisturise daily, this has a tendency to go patchy as it fades. Overall one of my favourite self-tans. Bondi Sands is a relatively new brand from Australia, this is the self-tanning foam in dark, it’s salon quality formula with a coconut scent. This is so affordable and available at most drug stores. It gives a beautiful rich colour that you can easily build up without it looking patchy. I’m really enjoying this one currently. Lastly the gradual self-tan. Garnier Summer Body in deep has been a firm favourite of mine for years. It provides 12 hr hydration and has a lovely apricot scent. This is excellent for someone who is terrified or completely new to self-tanning. It’s fool proof to apply and built up gives a beautiful sunkissed glow to the skin. You simply can’t go wrong with this one. I find it’s great for maintaining a natural tan after a holiday too.

What are your self-tan picks?
