Happy New Year everyone! I hope you enjoyed the festive period. Did you eat, drink and be merry? I can’t say I was feeling particularly festive myself but I’m ready for a fresh start to 2018. I’m not a fan of the whole New Years Eve thing, I much prefer New Years Day. My family and I go for our customary countryside walk with our English Springer Ceasar to our local pub for a celebratory drink. Lucky for us it was dry and bright albeit a bit muddy, hence why I always have a pair of Hunter wellies in the boot of my car. Mum and I are rather smitten with The Peaky Blinders and their immaculate style so we thought we would pay homage by donning our very own flat caps. No country walk is complete without the obligatory Barbour jacket. Classic, stylish and above all practical. The pockets are perfect for carrying my phone, car keys and wallet. For the softest finishing touch I’m wearing my new scarf that I bought for a steal in the sales for £8.00 down from £25 from Fat Face in this gorgeous burnt orange shade. I had been looking for a scarf just like this, it keeps me so warm and cosy and the colour just makes me feel happy. I’m gradually simplifying my wardrobe into key pieces that are good quality and easily transitioned throughout the seasons rather than buying multiple items that don’t last long or go out of fashion. It will be a work in progress but one I’m committed to.

So here’s to a great year ahead and lots more blogging! Thank you all for your continuous support and interest in my blog it’s truly appreciated.

Shahrzad x
