My Go-To Xmas Party Makeup Look
Hello, my festive friends! I bring you red lips and good cheer! Christmas is a great excuse to get glam! You’ve got that all important office party to attend and you do not want to disappoint! You can’t go wrong with a red lip and gold sparkly eyes! This is my fail-safe Christmas party look and here is how to achieve it.
Prep & Base: Cold weather and heating on high plays havoc with skin leaving it blotchy and uneven. Use an illuminating primer like Becca Backlight Priming Filter and opt for a fuller coverage foundation to create a flawless base. Conceal any darkness under the eyes and around the nose. I used Gerda Spillmann Bio Fond cream foundation in the shade Praline with a damp beauty blender. For my concealer, I used Maybelline Superstay Better Skin in the shade Light. I set that with Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette in Lucid. For the rest of my face, I used Max Factor Translucent setting powder.
Contour/Highlight: I contoured with MUA Bronzed Perfection in Sunset Tan and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Light Bronze for that extra glow! For blush, I used Benefit Rockateur and for highlight Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal.
Eyes: I made good use of my Too Faced Star Dust Palette starting off with Millennial in the crease and outer corner of my eye. Golden Nugget all over the lid. Showgirl in the crease. Jackpot to deepen the crease even more and add more definition to the outer part of my eyes. I then used Glamour Dust in Nude Beam on the centre of eyelids for a pop of sparkle! I lined my eyes with Kat Von D Tatoo liquid liner in Trooper and lashings of Benefit They’re Real mascara for that false lash effect.
Lips: This is the easiest red lip of life! Nars Matte Velvet Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red. That’s it you are glam to go!
