Don’t you just love a drugstore makeup splurge? I was on a mission to find some much-coveted makeup must haves. You need to go to a large Boots store, or online to find these.

1. Max Factor Translucent Loose Powder – This is always out of stock whenever I’ve tried to pick one up that I almost gave up hope. I’m so glad I found one in the end because it is incredible! It gives the most perfect soft-focus matte finish to skin without looking overly made up and although it’s translucent it magically adapts to your skin tone/foundation shade which gives an airbrushed effect. It has a removable mesh that cleverly allows you to pick up the correct amount of powder each time you use it.
2. Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Concealer – Another hard to find product that only seems to come in two shades. I got the lightest shade 02 because I want to use it under my eyes. I was looking for an affordable alternative to MAC Pro Longwear and boy do I think I’ve found it! This has the smoothest texture that melts into skin and blends seamlessly into the rest of foundation. It doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines.
3. Lasting Finish By Kate – This is in the shade Rock N Roll Nude, and it’s divine. I can only describe it as a fresh pink nude. If you have been struggling to find a good nude lipstick that won’t wash you out or look like you’ve dipped your lips in caramel then this is the nude for you! It’s so pretty, smells scrumptious and lasts well throughout the day.
4. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – Named after cities from around the world, I picked up Istanbul after seeing it on LovebyLaura’s Instagram. She said it was the best pink lip colour ever! So, of course, I had to buy it! It’s a beautiful, soft, cool-toned pink that drys to a matte finish without drying out lips. I love cream lip colours in the Winter months as it rules out hair getting stuck in goopy gloss!
