OOTN & MOTN
Just a quick snap of last night’s outfit and makeup. I almost always end up wearing black on nights out, so I like to add some colour with a piece of jewellery and this neon yellow necklace is one of my favourites. It glams up any outfit. I bought this a few years back in Wallis of all places! I’m really into playing with different textures so I’ve paired my favourite high-waisted, black coated Joni Jeans from TopShop with a new purchase from H&M, a black leather look vest top which is super flattering if you want to cover up your tummy like I do. My ankle boots are from Asos and they are so comfortable. I opt for these on those nights out when I know I won’t be sitting down at all! They have a platform heel which gives me some much-needed height.
Now onto the makeup. I love doing my makeup for a night out, it’s an opportunity to get extra glamorous and why not! I love smoky eyes and always lots of sparkle. Now’s my chance to contour and highlight. I use my Chanel Bronze Universel for an all over bronze effect, then my Kat Von D Shade and Light for my cheek contour and centre face highlight. This is amazing! Read my review here For my eyes I used a combination of MAC Uninterrupted in my crease to create that warm halo of colour around the eye. Then on a large fluffy brush I applied Laura Mercier Baroque all over the eyelid. I used Girls Night from the Too Faced Stardust palette (review) here in the crease to add more definition. Then my favourite shadow of the season, MAC Antiqued in the centre of my eyelid for that sparkle and pop. Then lashings of mascara, I like to layer up for that false lash effect. I used Benefit Roller Lash first, then Maybelline Lash Sensational on top. On my lips, you guessed it, MAC Soar lip liner and my newest edition of MAC lipsticks, Mehr. This is pretty much identical to Soar giving you that not too dark, not too mauve, dusky rosy hue.
I hope you all had a great Saturday night! What’s you night out routine?
