Sustainable Style | My Charity Shop Find

I was never one to take the time to rummage through charity shops to find a bargain but recently in one of my local shops my lovely mum found this incredible Cordings wool blazer. I had been on the hunt for something exactly like this but didn’t want to buy a cheap, synthetic one just for the sake of it.

Cordings is a well know British brand since 1839 specialising in classic country wear crafted from the finest British Tweed with traditional prints. Mum mentioned this blazer to me so I hot footed down and tried it on and low and behold it was a perfect fit to what was looking for. I have paired it here with my skinny jeans and Ugg Biker boots for a more modern look. I love the navy velvet detail on the collar.

The quality and workmanship of this piece is amazing and it looks brand new! It cost £70 but it also came with a matching waistcoat. These blazers typically cost up to and over £300! I’d call that a bargain!

I highly recommend visiting charity shops in affluent areas as you are more likely to find decent brands or designer styles that are no longer on trend.

The key is to know what you are looking for and so shopping with intention rather than just browsing. Always look at the label to determine the brand. I recently found another fabulous piece which I’ll share next time!
