Petite Style For Spring

Hello lovely reader welcome to my blog! Today I’m talking Spring style that is effortless and easy to wear. I’m 4″11 and curvy so find clothes shopping a real pain in the proverbial! I can’t be bothered to get items tailored unless it’s for a special occasion or absolutely neccessary. Luckily there are plenty of petite options available. Marks and Spencer has a fantastic range of jeans in petite/short sizes. These ones are Mom High Waisted Jeans and they are the most comfortable fit I have ever come across. I’ve paired them with a super soft cotton shirt from Barbour ( bought in the sale last Summer ) any stripy shirt or breton will do the trick. I just find the colour combination to be fresh, stylish and easily put together. Add a pair of espadrilles for tha ultimate riviera feel. Sunnies are a steal at £14 from Asos and they are polorized too!

Floral seems to be a trend right now and I’m here for it! This smock dress from Mango is light and breezy, perfect for a hot Summers day. I feel so comfortable and stylish without having to sqeeze myself into a pair of shorts, besides it’s hot here in the UK for around two weeks in the Summer so not much point investing in Summer clothing that is not versatile or that you don’t care for. Also,( side note ) If like myself you get a bit bloaty after a meal, this is great as it covers everything! You can add a belt to cinch your waist in if you perfer or just to change the style of the dress and perhaps add a denim jacket for good measure. Add a pair of trainers for that trendy relaxed feel or dress up with some cute ankle boots.

I’m not ususally one for accessorizing but thought I would dabble in the land of headbands. This one from ASOS makes a great addition to any floral piece and doesn’t make you look like a child, infact I feel rather regal in mine. It keeps my hair out of my face without having to put it up in a ponytail.

There you have it, two looks that you can change up to accomodate any season. I look for pieces that I can easily incorporate into the rest of my wardrobe rather than just buying throw away fashion because that is not sustainable.

Buy things that you love, feel good in and will wear the heck out of!

Happy shopping! x
