I had never heard of such a thing until my sister mentioned it and brought me home Millie Marotta’s, Animal Kingdom. I was agasp at the intricate detailing of the drawings themselves. How will I ever keep within the lines! Turns out this is a form of therapy. Colouring in is actually extremely relaxing and can help with stress, anxiety and over-active minds as this will really help you switch off for and hour or so. Choosing the right tools and colours are all part of the fun. My mum gave me her special tin of Swiss made Caran D’Ache colouring pencils. These are the best of the best, they are water soluble too. I just love the subtle shade changes of the colour range. From bright Parakeet green to a muddy moss green. Deep ocean blue to sky blue. I think this is a great idea and everyone should at least give it a go, it’s rather addictive. There are so many books to choose from so you are sure to find something of interest to you.
