Woodland Walks & Makeup

We are very lucky to be surrounded by the outstanding beauty of the Surrey Hills. There is always somewhere glorious to walk, from farmlands, meadows, parks and deep woodland. I love this part of the world it’s simply magical. Right, back to the makeup! I am someone who is all or nothing when it comes to makeup and most often than not, I will be wearing a full face. Without sounding like a broken record, makeup makes me feel put together, confidant and happier in myself. I find I am open to doing a lot more when I have my makeup on. For example if I was bare faced all day and then my partner suggest we go for a drink at the local pub, I am less likely to want to go and there is no way I will put makeup on at the end of the day just to go out. I put my makeup on in the morning and if I still haven’t by lunchtime it’s unlikely I will. I am a creature of habit and I like to apply makeup on a freshly cleansed skin after my sunscreen. Once it’s on it’s on, I never touch up ever, only my lipstick and even that is rare.

I am really into my shimmer shadows at the moment and love doubling them up as a crease contour too! I think it’s fab for Summer and gives the look and overall glow. I have been mixing my two favourite foundations together to create the perfect base that looks fresh and lasts all day not touch up guaranteed! I set with one of my three favourite powders depending my my skin, lately It’s been Laura Mercier Translucent. I always finish with a setting spray and my favourite is Urban Decay All Nighter.

Hi Shaz x love your latest u tube video as usual ❤️Just to give you some recommendations. Have you tried Michael van Clarke thickening root spray, just few sprays in roots is fantastic not in slightest tacky etc . He also does a fabulous mousse to use on middle lengths of hair it is not sticky at all. It has to be applied evenly and combed through. For under eye powder I love givenchy voile rose powder available loose, or pressed. It’s so beautiful under the eyes. For feet Margaret dabbs foot file is phenomenal along with her foot lotion. You will never have to cope with dry feet again. Just a few of my desert island recommendations. 🤣Love you lovely Shaz. You’re an amazing beauty blogger. I’m a very ill person your videos make my day. Sending you best wishes Nina x
