Clothes Shopping Made Easy
I’m all about comfort and if I can make it stylish too, then that’s a bonus! I enjoy wearing casual pieces that easily take me from day to night simply by adding a few accessories such as a tailored blazer, or some heels. I strive to take an honest approach to shopping by asking myself can this piece be paired with other items in my wardrobe? The more versatile the piece the more wear you will get out of it. Furthermore, I believe in spending more on quality over quantity. Good quality material holds up through wear and tear and therefore eliminates the need to be replaced as often. Additionally choosing timeless classics that won’t go out of fashion will help you to build a staple wardrobe that’s wearable in any season. A great example is this denim shift dress from FatFace which makes for the perfect Summer to Autumn transition piece. As the cooler weather draws in add some opaque tights, boots, and layer up with chunky knits. Plus denim is always in style. Neutrals are another excellent way of combining different pieces that will ultimately go with anything you own. I consider leopard print to be neutral, it goes with just about everything from navy to white, khaki to bright corals. It’s one of my favourites and glams up any outfit in a flash! Nudes are fresh, clean and classic. When in doubt go nude *wink wink* Nude nails look super chic and are relatively easy to upkeep. I highly recommend Gels/Shellac for that high shine finish that won’t chip or smudge. A nude bag is an ultimate piece that will take any outfit from drab to fab in seconds. This leather bag is by Paul Costello and I purchased it at the bargain price of £56 from TK Maxx. It easily integrates with everything in my wardrobe from my black leather jacket to my full-length grey wrap coat. I can use it during the day with a pair of jeans or with a smart LBD for an evening out.
Whatever style you are into if you follow some of these guidelines you will be sure to find the items you are looking for without feeling overwhelmed or dissatisfied with the current trends. It will also give you a clear idea of what to look for when out shopping next.
