Powder Up

Powder is essential in ensuring you makeup stays in place all day. It’s the finishing touch to your foundation routine. It can add more coverage, erase fine lines and pores, illuminate and mattify. The choice is yours. Here are my favourites.

Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent pressed powder is my go-to for a matte finish that controls oil throughout the day. It is invisible on the skin so a great accompaniment for any full coverage foundation. I typically wear this with Estee Lauder Double Wear.

MAC Studio Fix Powder is a full coverage powder foundation. I like to use this over a tinted moisturizer for extra coverage or as a bronzer. It’s velvety soft, leaving skin smooth and matte. Great for those who want that picture-perfect, flawless complexion. Use alone or over foundation.

Laura Mercier Loose Mineral Powder is fantastic in humid climates or hot weather it really adheres to skin for the most natural finish that won’t budge. Use alone for a flawless finish or over foundation to lock it in. I love using this in the summer as it adds warmth to my complexion, has SPF 15 and makes my skin look amazing!

bareMinerals Mineral Veil is so finely milled that it simply disappears upon application while airbrushing skin like nothing else. Pores vanish and skin looks smoother. It’s like a camera filter that blurs imperfections. This is perfect for those who are really anti-powder.

Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot is my touch up powder. I keep this in my handbag for on the go. It mops up oil without leaving any powdery residue. It’s an invisible shine blotter that every oily girl should never be without.

What is your must have powder?
